Dena Martin is a dedicated, hard-working business woman who's addicted to the enthusiasm of business owners. As the President of Smooth Sailing Bookkeeping, Dena brings more than 12 years of hands-on small business bookkeeping experience to the business owners of Lee County. The experience gained from helping multiple industries enables her to quickly pin-point a client's needs and tailor a support system to maximize their success.
It was after helping a friend start a successful retail business that she realized just how much information entrepreneurs need to be successful. Dena recognized the need for business owners to:

Through this experience, Dena decided to dedicate her career to helping small business owners discover their dreams and teach them how to make sure that their financial picture stays in sharp focus. Dena has often used her experience working under the Florida tax laws to help her clients straighten out complex tax issues, saving them thousands of dollars in penalties and overpayments. One client was receiving notices that she owed for a previous year's unemployment taxes. After putting Dena on the case, she was able to correct the state record and get all the penalties waived. Another client had been incorrectly paying state sales tax every quarter because his former bookkeeper was not experienced enough to recognize a problem with his reports. Dena conducted an extensive audit of the client's records and within weeks the client was back on track with a refund coming in the mail!
